Path 01 · Old base first

Standard upgrade

Retire your current base first. Pay the upgrade price up front.

  1. Retire your current base

    Cut out a section of one round-tube leg on your current base using a metal saw.

  2. Send a photo

    Email a photo of the entire hitch with the removed section clearly visible.

  3. Pay your upgrade invoice

    Once we receive your photo, we’ll email an invoice for the Gen 3 base at $550 plus tax.

  4. Your new base ships

    After payment is received, we’ll ship your Gen 3 base, part #3211. Shipping is free within the contiguous 48 states.

Purchase & refund

Receive your new base first. Get the price difference refunded later.

  1. Buy directly from Andersen

    Purchase the Gen 3 base at full retail price, plus tax and any applicable shipping, on our website. Shipping is free within the contiguous 48 states.

  2. Receive it, then retire the old base

    After your new base arrives, cut out a section of one round-tube leg on your current base using a metal saw.

  3. Send your photo + order number

    Email your order number and a photo of the entire hitch with the removed section clearly visible.

  4. Receive your refund

    Once we receive your photo, we’ll refund the difference between full retail and the $550 upgrade price, along with the shipping cost.

Before you get started

Do I need to upgrade?

No. This program is completely optional. Andersen continues to support previous models with the same commitment to quality and support.

Why cut a leg instead of returning the base?

Photo confirmation avoids the high cost of return shipping. Removing a section of a round-tube leg ensures the same hitch cannot be used for more than one upgrade.

Can I buy through a dealer or marketplace?

For the purchase-and-refund option, the new base must be purchased directly on our website. Purchases through Amazon, Walmart, dealerships, or other third parties do not qualify.

What if I live outside the lower 48 states?

Free shipping applies only to the contiguous 48 states. Contact our team to confirm shipping arrangements for your location before starting.

What am I upgrading to?

The program is for the Gen 3 Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection base, part #3211, at $550 plus tax. It is a base upgrade, not a complete hitch kit. Contact us if you need help confirming your setup.
